For the task based ones I can see having the title character based because they show you did those things on that character. But for the grind based ones, I can't see why they shouldn't be account based.

Have you even considered that if SS/LB were to become account-wide, the rank requirements would most likely skyrocket?
You'd be stuck with two more titles in the same vein as Kurzick/Luxon faction. Perhaps one player in a thousand has reached the highest tier of either of those two lines.
I can't imagine the amount of incessant whining to be seen if this change ever happened.

no way
i think it would be stupid; especially when u could say farm sunspear/lb points in wurms on hard mode and such.
maxing the title would mean u could make a noobie and have him have the high rank sunspear skills.
alot of people would abuse the quest rewards aswell. especially when a tyrian peerson or canthan gets loads os ss points for a primary quest in elona.
its fine as it is

So we don't change the title breakpoints.

So could you tell me what harm there would be if all players had these titles maxed out ?

all titles with ingame benefits should be account wide, otherwise people who play a variety of professions to fill in what is needed in certain situations are being disadvantaged

Well.
They could make it so they are 'character wide' until you get to level 8 for Sunspear and 6 for Lightbringer.
Once a charater gets to such numbers, it will use the highest value amongst al characters in the account.

Max account based titles are supposed to be time consuming. After 6 months of at least 5 hours of faction farming a day - reaching up to 15-20 hours (toward the end), I finally achieved the Savior of the Kurzicks title. Now, your want to make it, so that I could've gotten the same credit toward Koabd on every character for around 10 hours of work (Half the time on the double weekend)? The only way this would work, is if the max title was made much more difficult and time consuming to achieve. Sadly - I fail to see how the Lb/SS titles are comparable to Sotk/Sotl, or any account based title for that matter.

This is a point to be considered I think. I have maxed out more then one char on SS/LB, and it really tends to be a drag in the end (mainly due LB). But I like to jump in just any mission with whatever I find to be most suitable. Having account wide titles would allow such flexibility, even for HM titles. It would mean that I do not have to do everything with my monk, and someone else could take this position as well. It would be good progress towards diversifying play a bit.
